Centereach (Long Island, NY) FD will be joining us once again with "Sweet Pea" their 1939 Sealand engine. :) Sealand Corp. based out of Bridgeport, CT (just across the Long Island Sound) was a fire alarm manufacturer that got into building trucks for about 11 years. They built a small number of engines, "booster cars" and small rescue squad type rigs, they earned a solid reputation and there are several on Long Island that are still preserved Photo Credit: Andrew Joel
1928 Model A Ford - originally serving as a brush truck, it was later used in the 1950's by the FASNY Firemen's Home as a utility vehicle before being returned to the department in the 1960's. It was then restored to the prisitine condition
